An Herbal garden of medicinal plants is developed for identifying medical herbs by students and teachers. The herbal garden of this institute is a unique, well maintained and eminence. The herbal garden is situated in the area, nearly 118676 sq.ft. The herbal garden enriched with several herbs, green house and irrigation facility and there are exclusive gardeners to maintain the garden. This garden also contains several distinguishing species of various herbs and trees. There are about 1000 medicinal plants of 400 different species present in this unique garden. And also has a unique specialty of Rashi vatika, Ratna vatika, Graha shanti vatika, Nakshatra vatika, Tirthankar vatika etc. and also herbs are classified according to their properties like Ras, Guna, Virya, Vipaka and Panch bhautik. There are 21 plants of ‘Rudraksha’ (Elaeocarpus genitrus) propagated. Various trees and herbs are marked with their common names and basic therapeutic uses so that common men can be easily understand the importance of medicinal uses of herbs and Ayurved science.
Beside this garden, Dhanvantari vatika, Sushrut vatika and Dashmul vatika gives a great look of this institute and makes the pleasant sensible atmosphere for mind and soul. That’s why it is the “Heart of college".
